This two day program is designed for any health professional with an interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound.
A basic understanding of the principles of MSK sonography and scanning technique is assumed. For those students new to sonography, a pre-course Zoom session covering some basics is provided, and included as part of the course fee.
It is assumed the student will have a good understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy, and of common pathological conditions affecting the MSK system.
The focus of the course is sonographic assessment of the lower limb. While we will briefly discuss different types of injections and injection techniques, we do not cover various injection types (such as PRP) and techniques in depth. There will be plenty of opportunity for informal discussion during the course.
We do not cover certain more advanced areas of MSK sonography that are unlikely to be encountered regularly in day-to-day clinical practise.
It is a requirement that all course attendees are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. This includes registrants, tutors and scanning models. Proof of vaccination is required for attendance.
