NZAMM 40th Anniversary Spring Retreat 2021 – CANCELLED
September 23, 2021 - September 25, 2021
We regret to inform that the planned 40th Anniversary NZAMM meeting has been CANCELLED owing to the current COVID-19 situation.
Also, once lockdown ends and Level 2 prevails, practitioners will be busy catching up on patients who were unable to be seen and will be cautious about travel.
I am particularly sad for NZAMM retirees who we would have been meeting with after a gap of many years, and who have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share.
We need to celebrate together what has been achieved over the 40+ years.
It becomes less relevant to have a 40th Anniversary as time goes by but we are considering the following alternatives at dates still to be confirmed:
1. A 2-hour ZOOM education event “Turning your clinical questions and treatment methods into evidence” – Guest Speakers Professors Tim Woodfield, Gary Hooper, and others TBC.
This would be followed by our AGM
2. Forming a ZOOM group interested in putting together historical documents and a photo gallery along with archiving and website options
3. Running a delayed anniversary gala dinner at a future date to be determined. We might be 45 by then!
Please let Brenda or Jenny know if you have an interest in being involved and/or attending any of these options.
Meanwhile take care and look after yourselves/ your practices and your families.
NZAMM 40th Birthday. From the welcome on Thursday evening to a showcase at the University of Otago Christchurch and then to a Gala Dinner, socialising networking and reminiscing with colleagues, this promises to be a weekend of fun as well as new learning.
